They took our offer...

Our lives changed a couple of weeks ago. We put a very low ball offer on some country property and they took it! That made our house affordable for Joe and Allison so they are buying our place! It has all happened so fast...closing should be June 1st for both of us.

It has six acres of flat fenced pasture, a great barn and shed, and a natural spring. The house on it needs TLC but the land and out-buildings made buying the place worth it. It is 3.6 miles out on the Old Moscow Rd. Joe wants to plant fruit trees, a garden and get some cows and chickens. So much for sitting in a rocking chair and getting old!!

In May....

It's been quite a month!

Jeff finished up his Eagle, his senior project and qualified to go to State in tennis.

Jeff on his way to Clarkston to play in Districts.
They played some tough matches and were excited to get to go on to State. Of course we made the most of being close to a Costco and had lunch.
We are thrilled that Derek and Aubree have moved back to Pullman and will be working at Decagon.
Grant discovered a great place over by Moscow Mountain. It has great trails and streams to explore. We can't wait to take the whole family there!

Janet's Utah trip

I can remember as a little kid, waiting in the car with Jean while Mom went into the bank. (That was back in the days when kids would wait in the car while parents went into stores etc.) She was running errands before our trip to Utah. We were sooo excited we were going to Gramma Judd's that we were bouncing up and down on the seats singing "Utah, Utah, beautiful beautiful land..." I still get excited to make that trip and so grateful for all the wonderful people in my life that I get to be around when I go there!

It was so special to be able to fly down for Daniela and Conrad's wedding. Jean and Boots picked me up at the airport and headed for their favorite store, Calisters. My, oh my....what a fun western place. Jean decided that we needed to buy shirts alike. Boots was so patient while we had the best time (and it took awhile!) finding something. It's been 45 years + since we've done that?!

Saturday was a was a cold, windy day, but the wedding and luncheon after was beautiful. It was the BEST to see everyone!
Sunday afternoon Jean's family got together at Janet's in Lehi. We had a delcious dinner, played games, were entertained by Jean's grandkids and also met Jen's fiance. They have a August 30th wedding planned. We had so much fun!

Monday, Jean and I went out to Hoytsville. It is always so neat to visit with Uncle Donald and Aunt Louise. I love being around them and it is so special to see Gramma Judd's house and

of course, the most beautiful barn in the world!!

We visited Aunt Gloria and were so thrilled that Arlys happened to be there too! As we were leaving, up rode Bill on his four-wheeler. So, we had some more good visiting!

We stopped in and enjoyed visiting Aunt Helen. She told us where her girls worked and so we drove into Colville and saw Roma, Diane and Janae. Janae took us to the museum in the basement of the courthouse where she works to show us some of great grampa Marchant's things. It is a wonderful museum (definately worth going to if you are in town).

We stopped at North Summit High School and saw Donald and Lousie's daughter, Kathy. We had so much fun surprising her and it was so good to make the cousin connection again!

It is always so fun to be at Boots and Jean's place. They treat me so royally! It was fun to go to church with them , enjoy the new little ponies and goats, visit and watch movies. And if all we did wasn't enough, they ended my trip with great food at the local diner, "The Hub".

Thanks for making my trip so special Boots and Jean!!!!

the last couple of months....

I've got some catching up to do!

We made it through the winter (though we have had more snow the last couple of days, at least the calender says it's spring) but our new shed that Darren so kindly helped his dad put together didn't. Sad.

Jeff had to make an instrument for his pre-cal class. Each note on a scale has a certain frequency that can be determined using certain math equations. His instrument had to be tuned to the right frequency. His coconut instrument played each note in tune!
Aldo and Geronimo are still best buds. They both just finished up their baths. (The dog loves them and the cat tolerates them) They've been in more because of the cold weather.

It is so fun to be able to share in Joe and Allison's family's lives: Being tricked by Joseph about having two broken arms, sharing in the happiness of a lost tooth, baby blessings, and lively games of Risk or Apples to Apples. Having them near is the best!

Jennabee was so cute at Easter. She and her Daddy came for a visit one evening and she softly and sweetly announced, "These are my princesses."

It was great to see Stuart, Adriene and their baby, Grant when they recently visited Campbells. It's neat to have another Grant in the family!

Found my camera....

Yeh! I found my camera so here are some pics from what has been happening since the holidays. It was fun to have Joe and the boys over to work on their Pinewood Derby cars. Both boys made great cars and the race was so fun to watch. Grant's car came in 2nd.

The snow just keeps on coming...Jeff had a great time making a cave. With our furnace not working for a few days, Joe had to snowshoe to the woodpile.

The Stanford game was alot of fun though we sure would have liked just a couple of more baskets so we could have won.

Margaret flew up for her mom's birthday. It is always fun to get together with them!

We relaxed and enjoyed Joe, Allison and kids today. Ada is growing up!

School Delay...Time to Play!

There was a lot of snow and wind one night last week causing a two hour school delay the next day. The morning was sunny and the snow deep so Jeff made good use of his time! He hopes all his nieces and nephews enjoy the story pictures he had me take of him!

Aldo loved being out in the snow...he was a great tunnel digger... Geronimo just wanted to get back into the warm house.
